I wasted the first 35 years of my life, then I took up golf. My husband decided to take up golf, so I figured it I was going to spend any time with him on weekends or vacations that involved golf, I would have to learn. Since then, I have become quite a golf fanatic, playing as much as I can. I found out about EWGA from a flyer hanging on the wall at our golf club at the time, Atlanta International.
I really enjoy the camaraderie and friendships I have developed through EWGA. I only have a brother, but I consider many of my EWGA friends the "sisters" that I never had. I am a Registered Nurse practicing in Outpatient Surgery at DeKalb Medical Hillandale. I am Secretary for the Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
My husband, Dan, is a professional magician. I enjoy going to magic conventions with him and have traveled around the world with magic (and played golf in a few of those places as well). I am a member of the Atlanta Society of Magicians, Assembly 30, Society of American Magicians, where I am currently the Assembly Secretary (see a pattern here?). We live in Lithonia with our Egyptian Mau cat, Herrmann, who I adopted from one of my EWGA friends, Angie Caliendo. Come enjoy the fun on Monday evenings at Stone Mountain, where we play a little golf and enjoy each other's company at dinner afterward.
