Fairway Friends™
The Atlanta Chapter of EWGA welcomes potential new members whether you are a beginning golfer or experienced golfer. Our chapter is an active participant in EWGA's Fairway Friends,™ which is a mentoring program available to all EWGA members. This is a great opportunity for beginning golfers to partner with an existing EWGA member. Beginning golfers will have the opportunity to become more comfortable on the golf course. Fairway Friends™ is what the EWGA is all about – helping women enter the game of golf in a fun, supportive environment.
Who is a Fairway Friend™ Mentor?
A mentor is an experienced golfer who guides a new golfer on pace of play, basic rules and proper etiquette on and off the golf course. Also, a mentor may guide the new member on how to participate in other EWGA events.
Benefits of becoming a Mentor:

Who is a Fairway Friend™ Mentee?
A mentee is someone making the transition from instruction to playing on a golf course. A mentee is paired with a mentor to guide her around the golf course safely and answer questions about etiquette, basic rules and the other elements of golf in order to build confidence and comfort in the golf course setting.
Benefits of becoming a Mentee:
- Opportunity to learn from an experienced golfer on the golf course, and get more involved in the EWGA
- Opportunity to have a “buddy” to ask questions throughout the year
- Receive an accessories pouch from program sponsor, Be the Ball 4U
- Chance to be randomly selected to win a gift for participating in the program
